Rob Swier is an experienced marine engineer, surveyor, technical consultant and project manager and an ex-Marine Chief Engineer (ex sea going) with in-depth experience of project management supervision, refits and maintenance.
Having worked for many years with Braemar (ex-BMT) as Principal Surveyor of their Cape Town Office he has the wealth and experience gained from having attended major collisions, groundings and floodings, assessed and monitored complex repairs and refits and has provided owners, lawyers and claim handlers the professional information they require to progress their cases.
Now working independently from his base in Cape Town, South Africa, Rob continues his good work to provide onsite and / or remote surveys, analysis of complex issues, to survey and inspect your vessel for insurance or technical assessment or to attend dockings, repairs and refits on behalf of owners, insurers or third parties.
